Hi Careyann!
My name is Kailee and I am a Jr. Plus size model, I am 17, I weigh 174 and I wear a size 10/12. I have been frustrated lately because the agents I have been in contact with are telling me I photograph too small for their clients and yet, I know plenty of Plus size that are size 10 and even a size 8 (as crazy as that sounds)that are getting plenty of work.
I know I am on the smaller side of plus, but I was told that being smaller was a going to be a real "Plus" for me instead its been a curse, lol!
I am sooo confused....

Kailee...The industry is in flux. Now that there are so many more acceptable plus sizes that are getting work even the agents don't know what is going to work and what isn't.
You should try to get a complete explanation from your agent as to why he or she feels you are photographing too small. It is difficult for me to make a judgement as to what you are getting that response.
It should be a "plus" for you to be at the small end of the plus size.
There might be other factors that the agent is taking into consideration but not verbalizing.

If others have gotten work with smaller sizes, you might try changing agents.
