As a fashion editor/writer (beauty and other topics too), I find that 1) it's important to know what's going on and 2) dress with some sensibility that you know what you are talking about. That does not mean that you follow every trend-- you don't go "red" when magazines say the trend is for red hair. You don't wear maxi dresses or dragging pant hems if you keep stepping on them. You wear what's good style for you.. not trendy.
I also take great care of myself because being fit and healthy is part of being beautiful..It's about being at home in one's skin.
