Online Modeling advice and support is relatively new. As with anything developed as a result of the internet it is a completely new world for models and actors.
In the past, a model would have to carry his or her portfolio from one agency to another, submit a long resume and wait to hear from the agency. It took months and the applicant was on pins and needles waiting for each and every response.
Now it is all done on the internet. The photos from your portfolio and your resume are all there for you to show to the
elite agencies and smaller ones. This gives you a bigger opportunity to be seen by people in a region that is not located in one of the model capitals of the world.
More people are able to be viewed for a greater variety of
modeling jobs. Some are local or regional photoshoots for advertisers in a specific region.
Other models may get seen by the major agencies for lucrative contracts and you must be prepared to know the business and the legal issues.
I intend to help you get started in an online presence that will avoid the pitfalls of scam artists, dishonest agencies, and other common problems that the internet will create.
The internet has sites like this one. It is here for promotion, education, and networking.
Two rules:
Don't ever give money to someone online for promoting you as an agent. The agent makes money from your work, not from their promise to give you work. If someone promises you something that sounds too good to be true...it is.
Be prepared to have a lawyer look over any contracts that are written to sign you up. Modeling is a business. Do you know any business that doesn't require legal knowledge and the use of a lawyer? I don't. You may hear compliments about your beauty and the great future you will have. That is nice. But the contract is what defines what you can and cannot do while connected to an agency.

Ford Modeling Agency has a number of locations and was nentioned to me by two in the business and has a 100 mile cut off from there office but I am checking to see if they can waive that some.
Also there is L.A. Models agency also told to me as being good.
I am going to check out the baby link here as that is what I was looking for with these other two.
You do such a nice service to the people in such a caring way.
You are a great person Careyann and I know you more.

I want to emphasize this concept. In all business ventures it is essential that you know the information necessary to be successful. When you are selling a product you need to know the product to be effective as its salesman.
The car dealer who knows cars well and also knows what people like will do better than the person who is doing the sales cold after selling some other procuct.
In modeling you are selling "Yourself" and you want to show a bit of confidence and be cooperative without being anyone's doormat.
Draw the line when you are asked to do something which would make you feel uncomfortable.
Knowledge is power.
