Jeff Calenberg

Jeff Calenberg began his career working with the best photographers in the industry as a model and photographer. Jeff is married to New York Model and author Laura Krauss with two children who also work as models in the fashion world.

Jeff Calenberg has over twenty years of experience in the fashion/ advertising world of image making.

Based in New York City for over fifteen years his work has been seen in British Vogue, Red, French-Elle, L'Officiel, Italian Vogue and many others.

Location shoots have taken him around the world working with a wide variety of clients.

We have had the pleasure of working with Jeff and his family for the past five years and they are great to work with.

Jeff Calenberg also has a great eye for finding new talent and developing young talent into world class models.

Jeff’s latest project has taken him to London to photograph the new campaigns for Burberry Designs. The gorgeous photos can be seen here.

Jeff shares his modeling insights here not only as a model but as a top class photographer.

What is your best advice for new talent?

Be yourself. Be confident and follow direction. This is Jeff’s best advice.

If you are a parent of a new model know that 80% of the work will be by you as a parent, to shield your child from not becoming to much a part of the industry. Taking your teen or child to auditions, castings, finding the right people to work with including your agency that you decide on.

Jeff has shared with us to be natural in your own skin while taking photos, or booked on a modeling assignment, be natural and true to yourself, If you are comfortable with yourself you will take direction better from the directors and they will sense the comfort level.
