Fad Diets - Which to chose ?

As a personal trainer I meet many women of varying ages that state that they have tried so many diets with very little success and still can't lose weight.

So I want to talk about fad diets - and hat they really are - diets are just marketing tools preying mainly on women's insecurities to be thin - and because we want to be thin, we will buy any diet pill or go on any diet that promises us quick weight loss. The truth is hat any diet that omits another food group is BAD. Most fad diets do this and we need nutrients and essential vitamins that are found in vegetables, fruits, grains and "good carbs". Fad diets are a bad option when looking to lose weight and body fat - learn to make wise food choices by eliminating sugar and processed foods and by engaging in exercise to boost your metabolism.,

Food is not our enemy as long as it is consumed in quality items. Physical activity is the other counterpart to eating healthy. ACSM, suggests people do some form of accumulated physical activity for 30 minutes daily, not only will this help with weight loss but its also good for your heart and body.

So clean out the pantry and putting on your running shoes and you will soon be on your way to a healthier and fitter new you.
