Kelsey and I

I had no idea what was going on, my mom had just told me to get in the car. Of course, being only an eight year old, I was just excited to ride in the front seat. She didn't tell me what we were doing until we got there, probablly because she had a fear that I wouldnt want to do it. That was a specail night in philadelphia. From what I recall, some modeling company was hosting an event in in a big hotel to see "who had it, and who didnt". The deal was, we would form a line, and when we got to the front we would tell a Clean cut man about ourself. Being an eight year old kid, who had no idea where he was, or what he was about to do. I talked to the man like an adult, quite frankly I think i freaked him out a little bit, just kidding, but seriously. At that age, I was all ready to be in front of people, with out being embarassed. I was never the kid who was scared to sit on santas lap, I wasn't even the kid who was scared to go into the bank, or the grociery store with some kind of weird costume on. By the way, that did actually happen, as a matter of fact, the tellers in the bank, when I went with my mother didn't even know what I truly looked like because I was always acting(pretending to be a superhero). This may not seem very "out of the ordinary" for a young boy to do, but the fact of the matter is, events like this followed me till I was a young adult. After the modeling company had granted my wish of sending me to a convention in washington D.C., it was time for my mother and I to make another trip, I wont add all the details, simply because it is quite depressing. As in, I lost my mother in Washington D.C. and hid in a closet, till someone found me. I will just end in saying, it wasnt my time. I have been called back to several conventions since, yet I never go to any.
When I hurt my back my senior year of football, I had to do something to keep myself busy, so I tried out for the fall play. I earned a pretty decent part, and when it was over I felt as though I needed to progress with this talent. I wasn't the only one either, many others had told me "You should try out for a movie", and "You were the funniest thing in the whole play". Our director was not very happy, she actaully thought I tried to upstage a few people, but that was clearly not the case. I was just having a good time doing something I loved.
The truth is, I have a deep passion for acting and modeling. Its something I would like to make a career out of, and I feel as though this is the time to do it because whether I put it away or not, it is something that keeps comming back, like dejavu, as if acting or modeling would be my destiny. Not just to entertain people, but to make them smile, and make them laugh. Entertainment is an antibiotic for depression.
