Marc Jacobs Fashion Week - Fall 2007 - More Than The Show

In our recent conversation with Daniel Saynt of Fashion Indie here is what he had to say about the show and the models who walked the runway for Marc Jacobs.

If there is one thing that Marc Jacobs Fall 2007 show proved to me, it is this. A show is more than just clothes, it is the models. Poised, elegant and extremely well trained, the models that walked the runway during Marc's 1930's themed Fall collection show were the definition of true professionalism.

The show opened with thirty or so models standing absolutely still on a multi-tiered stage set against the backdrop of two large glassed doors. Perfectly cued, the models would pivot and walk the long, elaborately designed runway, gracefully taking stride to the end where the voracious bombardment of flashing lights awaited them. Shows like America's Top Model do not properly demonstrate the true talent and skill that one must develop to be a true runway star. It is a will that takes courage and determination to master.

The models walking for Marc Jacobs Fall Collection were in a caliber far beyond what one would see at other fashion shows. His collection was brought to life by these girls. Muted greens and purples were stunning and original in a series of garments which were a callback to New York's roaring 20's and 30's. Business chic never looked so good, probably because of how well the models sold the show.

Yeah! We agree, it was a beautiful show! Thanks Daniel.
